Superbike World Championship , also known as SBK, is a premier worldwide motorcycle racing event which started in 1988. The Superbike World Championship season consists of a series of rounds held on race tracks across the world. Superbikes are tuned versions of street legal motorcycles available for sale to the public, by contrast with MotoGP where purpose-built racing motorcycles are used. Every ‘round’ has two races and the results of both races are combined to determine two annual World Championships, one for riders and one for manufacturers. The championship is regulated by the FIM the governing body of motorcycle racing and managed and promoted by FGSport.

While Europe is the traditional centre for Superbike World Championship's rounds are also held in Qatar and Australia. In 2008 the championship will also return to USA for the first time since 2004. Auto enthusiasts , bike enthusiasts hop from one country to another following the rounds and cheering their favorite rider.

For the current season, TroyBayliss on his Ducati 1098 F08 is leading with 194 points with Neukirchner Max (Team Alstare Suzuki) and Checa Carlos (Hannspree Ten Kate Honda) are following closely with 166 and 144 points each. After the first six rounds, the championship is still wide open with eight more rounds to go.

You are a connoisseur or have a special occasion that you want to celebrate but in a fix as to which restaurant to choose? Well, don’t get despondent because there is an easy method by which you can select a restaurant that matches your taste.

Before selecting a restaurant we either google for information from various review sites or depend on newspapers or recommendations from family and friends. But to no avail as all these provide only partial information or sometimes unfair and biased opinions. Don’t be glum as there are several vertical or topical search engines available that can help you out. Generic search engines like Yahoo and Google bring you just web pages and websites; but ‘vortals’ with its Natural Language Processing Technology fetch you relevant and essential content without using complex keyword combinations. These specialty search engines focus on specific businesses thus making your job easy.

BooRah is a vertical search engine that simplifies your search for restaurants , contains reviews, restaurant ratings on food service and ambience, timings, addresses, phone numbers, maps, menus, discount restaurant gift certificates and coupons, online restaurant reservations, home delivery services for all local restaurants and more. It even carries pictures of the restaurants so that you can see for yourself what’s the atmosphere is like. It also allows users to search by name, cuisine, occasion or location.

Want to spend a special day with your loved ones? No need to step out of the house; plan everything within the comforts of your home. Wherever you are, whatever the time is; the ultimate restaurant guide gets you the best dining experience.

Is your father a nerd? We know you love him but do you sometimes get a chuckle out of him for being so geeky? Does he program everything in sight, from the remote control to his computer? Is he the in-house tech support and network administrator? If “yes,” your father just might be a nerd and here are a few compatible gifts for him.

Power meter
Here’s a gift for the technically savvy Dad that could help save the environment too.

Eee PC from Asus
This mini-PC makes a great carry along computer. It has a 7 inch display, weighs just less than 2 lb. and comes in colors. You can get a Windows version or Linux version for around $300

Nerd tie
If your Dad has a sense of humor and you want to get him the traditional father’s day tie, here’s a good suggestion.

Hand powered radio
What techie Dad wouldn’t appreciate a good multi-band radio that you power with batteries or hand powered magneto? A device like this could make a good addition to your disaster preparedness kit. The Solar Hand-Crank radio costs about $25 and includes a flashlight. The Eton FR400 costs about $60 and includes an analog TV audio tuner that unfortunately will be useless after February 2009 but then any self-respecting techie would have known that.

Bluetooth Phone Home
Plantronics Calisto is a Bluetooth based cordless phone. Your Dad can wear the Bluetooth headset around the house and as long as he's in range talk on the phone and keep his hands free to tinker with whatever needs tinkering with. It costs around $250 but you also get a Bluetooth headset you can use with your mobile phone.

As the name itself suggests, the race is held for a duration of about 24 hours, i.e one whole day and night!

Overall, this race lasts a whole week starting with scrutineering on Monday and Tuesday, followed by practice on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday there is a drivers’ parade through the centre of Le Mans. Then comes the weekend and the magic of the race, which continues all through the night. Le Mans 24 concentrates on the ability of manufacturers to build sporty yet reliable cars instead of focusing on the fastest machines built by them.

Held annually since 1923, the 76th edition of the 24 Heures du Mans will be begin on Saturday June 14, 2008 on the race track and from the international orbital station ISS. Organised by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO), the race is held on an exceptional circuit( the longest in the world at 13.65 kms) containing closed public roads. Commonly known as the Grand Prix of Endurance, the race not only tests a car and driver's ability to be quick, but also to last over a 24-hour period.

Since 1923 the race has been a pinnacle of sports car endurance test and has attracted many car enthusiasts from all over the world. Bentley, Alfa Romeo, Bugatti, Ferrari, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Porsche, Matra, Renault, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and today Audi have all contributed to writing the Le Mans legend. Let yourself be caught up in the spell cast by the Le Mans 24 Hour race and experience all the passion & excitement of the most enduring motor race in the world!

Then take your spouse for a candlelit dinner. But if your intention is to go to the same old restaurant that you frequently visit then drop it because it’s a bad idea; your spouse would be sick and tired of it. Instead you can search for restaurants that organize San Francisco restaurants for romantic anniversary dinners , provided you are in San Francisco.

Some of the best places to check out would be:

Café Jacqueline, a quiet and romantic spot with friendly service and excellent French cuisine. The Desserts are quite good especially the Soufflés.

Matterhorn Restaurant has a nice and cozy ambience with a pleasant and calm European décor. It serves the genuine Swiss fondues, which is a local favorite. You will have the best dinner that you ever had with your spouse.

Do you want unique dishes, awesome drinks and a romantic atmosphere? Well, Kokkari Restaurant has what you are looking for. The service is polite and friendly too.

Aziza is a good restaurant in San Francisco for Middle Eastern, African, Moroccan and Mediterranean cuisine. It’s got a lively and beautiful interior adding to the romantic atmosphere to make your day a special one.
Do you wish to spend your anniversary in France? Just reserve seats for two in Cote Sud restaurant in San Francisco. They have a collection of some great, rare wines and the service is warm and would help you with their recommendations to select the perfect wine that compliments your meal.

If you are from some other corner of the world, there’s a way for you too to get great restaurant recommendations. So try any of these restaurants and enjoy the most romantic evening you both ever had.

Dads love gadget gifts too; and especially more if it’s multi-functional camera, GPS, cool phone or electronic books. Your Dad might already have a good collection of gadgets but there’s always room for more cool gear that will enhance your Dad’s digital lifestyle. Here are some ideas of gadget gifts to give that new or expecting dad in your life.

Ultimate Father's Day Gift
Here's a wild suggestion; buy your father a new Apple Macbook Air. This super svelte laptop is so thin it fits inside a manila envelope yet it still boasts a full size keyboard and 13.3 inch LED backlight display.

Digital Photo Frames
In the briefcase, on the bureau, or on the desk at the office, digital picture frames are starting to replace the old wood and glass picture frames. You can buy an 8 inch frame or even a smaller one to take on the road for under $200. The Pandigital DPF802 is an 8 inch 800 x 600 photo frame that gets good ratings and sells for around $150. The Westinghouse DPF 0561 is a smaller 5.6 inch photo frame that can be purchased for around $80. The Kodak SV811 is a similar frame that sells for a little over $100 but gets some mixed reviews. For the ultimate in portability load up a keychain photo frame with some pictures of the family and gift it to Dad.

Headphones
For the frequent flier Dad, a noise canceling headphone is always an appreciated gift. Put one of these headphones on and the roar of the jet engines vanishes, replaced by the soothing music from your MP3 player. Sony's MDR-NC500D are even more expensive at around $400. The Bose QuietComfort 3 headphones get good ratings from users and experts. They're light and small and aren’t cheap at around $350.

Electronic Books
If your Dad likes to read books, newspapers, magazines, or online articles one of the latest electronic books might make a great gift. Two popular readers using electronic paper are Amazon’s Kindle and the Sony Reader. The Sony Reader PRS 505 can be purchased for around $300. The Kindle which includes high speed 3G internet access for downloading books and browsing the web sells for $399. The Kindle has received mixed reviews due to some ergonomic issues but gets many rave reviews as a groundbreaking product. Books cost more to purchase on the Sony reader and you have to go through a computer connected to the internet to download them but the Sony gets good marks for style and usability.

The best day to thank your dad for everything is Father’s Day. Apart from giving gifts, the other thing you can do, is to dine out since the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Now it’s decided that you will dine out but what kind of dining surprise do you have in mind? Well, you can entertain your dad in 5 different ways.

1. The first one is to dine in the home garden. Set up a barbecue and relish tasty dishes piping hot. Invite his friends, colleagues and all relatives and loved ones to leave a lasting smile on your dad’s face.

2. Dining on the terrace is a superb idea. On top of that if you set up a camp fire then it’s all the more exciting. Just bring home some of his friends and listen to him as he takes a trip down memory lane.

3. Your dad will truly love a picnic with his loved ones to a place he likes the most. It will make him feel special if the picnic spot selected is the one which he likes the most but never got a chance to visit. Also, you can carry packed lunches to add to the fun.

4. There is nobody who wouldn’t enjoy a home cooked meal on the usual dinner table. The icing on the cake would be if the menu selected contains exotic dishes of his taste.

5. The next best idea is to take him to a restaurant. But if you are tired of the usual restaurants and want to choose one that offers good service, good food, and good ambience don’t break your head; just search for restaurant recommendations and select a restaurant that suits the occasion.

So gear up to make the D-day a memorable one especially for your father.
